Chatham County Detention Center
Hunt/Mills contracted with Clifton Construction Inc. to handle the site prep for the Chatham County Detention Center expansion. The largest capital improvement project in the history of Chatham County GA, this $71M expansion added 400,000 sq. ft. to the existing facility. Clifton Constructions contract included the site grading, base and paving, and the site concrete. Clifton Constructions contract included the site grading, base and paving, and the site concrete.
Kroger Grocery and Fuel Kiosk
General Contractor Blanchard built the Kroger's Grocery Store and Fuel Kiosk in Richmond Hill, Georgia. In addition to clearing and grading this 19 acre site, Clifton Construction Inc. was responsible for excavation of retention ponds and the removal of unsuitable materials, as well as utilities, establishment of soil erosion and sedimentation items, curbs and sidewalks, aggregate base construction and asphalt surface for the anchor store, commercial store, commercial shops, and fuel kiosk.

Dunkin Donuts, Port Wentworth
Designed by Maupin Engineering, Dunkin Donuts opened this store located on Highway 21, Port Wentworth GA in January 2013. Clifton Construction provided a site prep work package on this one acre site that included the clearing, grading, erosion control, concrete work, utilities, stonebase, and asphalt paving and striping.

Parkers Convenience Store
Clifton Construction worked with General Contractor MCT on this Rincon GA facility, completed in Dec 2012. Clifton was responsible for demolition, paving, soil erosion and sedimentation items, grading, utilities, curbing, flat concrete, and paving for a convenience store remodled from a former commercial building. As a measure of customer satisfaction, Clifton Construction has been responsible for the site prep work on a total of eight new or renovated locations for the Parker Family.
McDonalds, Waters Ave, Savannah, GA
At this site in midtown Savannah, Clifton Construction was responsible for a complete demolition of the existing McDonalds restaurant. In addition, Clifton performed site work from the ground up including grading, utilities, and paving for the new new state of the art McDonalds erected at this location.

Southchase Retail Complex
Clifton was called upon by SS Partnership to perform the extensive site work needed for their 25 acre retail development. This project included a Lowe's Home Improvement store as well as several out parcels for restaurants and retail areas, and a supporting road system. A major challenge for this project was the preparation, backfilling and compaction of a large section of the existing lake to ensure a stable area for placement of the Lowe's building pad. The site work also involved heavy clearing and substantial storm drainage. Soil erosion control, installation of stone base, curb and gutter, and paving were also included in Clifton's scope of work.

Samples Warehouse
A private owner contracted with Clifton Construction for the site work on this commercial spec warehouse in the Crossroads Business Park near the Savannah Airport. The work included the full range of site work from clearing and utilities to prep for the concrete and asphalt paving.
Food Lion anchor store and Carver State Bank branch
The Food Lion anchor store and bank branch, was constructed in a historic area on Martin Luther King Blvd in Savannah. Working under contract for Satori Construction, Clifton Construction was responsible for the demolition of existing parking lots, grading, concrete curb, concrete flat work, new utilities and parking lot paving were part of our scope on a job that was brought in on time and within budget.
